Scott & Stephanie Anderson - Missionaries
Jesus said in Mark 16:15, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” We have been called to go and preach to those who are lost in the Chanchamayo district, specifically San Ramón, Peru, where approximately 95% of the people are non-believers. We serve with Peruvian Pastor Jorge Sipion and his wife, Charo, in a local Baptist church, Jesucristo El Señor Church, sent by our home churches, Country Woods Baptist Church in Byram, MS and Crosspath Church in Chattanooga, TN, and as affiliate missionaries with Light for Living Ministries.
The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:3, “But if our Gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost.” That is what we see in San Ramón, the people blinded to the Truth. Missions is at the heart of what Christ is all about! When Jesus came to the earth over 2,000 years ago, He came to “seek and to save that which was lost.” We are compelled to seek out those who are lost and impart to them the Gospel message.
Our primary ministries are teaching/mentoring women/men, teens, and children. We offer English classes to those who want to learn the language as an evangelism tool. Additionally, Stephanie has been given the opportunity to share in neighboring cities by teaching women’s conferences and assisting with mentoring pastors’ wives, as well as speaking at women’s camps. In the future, we will lead classes on abstinence in the schools as well as in the community because teen pregnancy is widespread and having a children’s home.
While we are grateful for the calling of God on our lives, we also know that it will take prayer and financial partners such as yourself for us to be able to answer the call to San Ramón. We are thankful for those of you who have partnered with us thus far and would ask that you tell others about our work. We would also ask those of you who are not currently supporting us financially to prayerfully consider supporting us monthly or yearly. We are currently receiving approximately 50% of the support level that we need to be successful in the ministry to which we have been called. We are thankful for each and every $1 given as no amount is too small to be used in ministry!
We would be honored to meet with you to share the burden God has placed on our hearts for San Ramón. This can be done in a variety of ways – sharing with small groups, family gatherings, or by providing a video overview of our work to better acquaint you and your church with our ministry and calling.
