OUR SPIRIT IS REGENERATED FOR INTIMACY WITH THE GOD OF HOPE . . . by David M. Eakin (ref)You will see this symbol within parenthesis with a scripture. You will benefit greatly by looking up the Scripture and reading it for fuller understanding. Remember to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal its truth. Not by our righteous works. . .but by His mercy (God) saved us;by the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit. (ref Titus 3:5.)Jesus declared, you must be born from above (Spiritual birth). . .Unless a person is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (ref John 3:5.) By His own will, (God) saved us. . .by the Word of Truth. . . (ref James 1:18.) Being born from above, not of corruptible, but by incorruptible seed, by the Word of God that lives and abides forever. (ref I Peter 1:23.) Our beauty should radiate the inner personality of the heart, like an imperishable jewel with the glow of a meek and harmonious spirit that has supreme value in the sight of God. (ref I Peter 3:4) If you respond to my discipline by being: converted, then I will pour out my Spirit on you and reveal my Word to you. (ref Proverbs 1:23) I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will remove your stubborn evil heart, and give you a living responsive heart. . . I will put MY Spirit within you and enable you to walk in my statutes, and carefully keep my laws. (ref Ezekiel 3:26,27) May the God of peace Himself make you holy, to perfection. May your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless. . . (ref I Thessalonians 5:23.)OUR BODY IS SACRIFICED FOR SERVICE BY THE MERCY OF GOD I urge you by the mercies of God to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. (ref Romans 12:1) Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit Who lives in YOU, given to you by God; Now you do not belong to yourself. You are bought with a price; therefore glorify God with your body and in your spirit; which belongs to God. (ref 1 Corinthians 6:19-20) Do not permit sin to control your mortal body; make you obey its evil desires. Do not yield the parts of your body to sin as instruments of evil; But present yourselves to God, as those brought back to life from life the dead; and present every part of your body to God as instruments of righteousness. (ref Romans 6:12) When Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but your spirit is living because of righteousness. . . If you are controlled by your carnal nature; you will die; But when you live controlled by the Spirit, and put to death your carnal actions, you will live. (ref Romans 8:10) We do not proclaim ourselves, but we proclaim Jesus Christ the LORD; and ourselves as your servants for the sake of Jesus (ref II Corinthians 4:6) I discipline my body to bring it to submission, so that after proclaiming the gospel to others; I will not be disqualified myself. (ref1Corinthians 9:27) OUR HEART IS CONVERTED FOR RESPONSE TO THE LOVE OF GOD If you are converted to the LORD, with all your heart, get rid of all the strange gods. . .and prepare your heart to serve the LORD only. . . (ref I Samuel 7:3b)I will give them a heart to know the LORD. They will be my people and I will be their God; for they will turn to me with their whole heart. . . (ref Jeremiah 24:7) I will give them one heart and put a new spirit in them and, will take the stony heart out or their flesh and give them a heart of flesh. (ref Ezekiel 11:19) Repent and be converted from all your rebellion, so that perversity will not ruin you. . .Receive a new heart and a new spirit. (ref Ezekiel 18:30-31) Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to knowledge. . . Let not your heart envy sinners, but fear the Lord all day long. (ref Proverbs 23:12) Hope does not disappoint us, because the love of God is poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (ref Romans 5:5) May Christ dwell in your hearts by faith, so that you may be rooted and grounded in love. . .to know the love Christ. . . (ref Ephesians 3:17) May your hearts be encouraged and united together in love with the wealth of full assurance and understanding. . . of God the Father and Christ. . . (ref Colossians 2:2) Brethren, be careful that none of you have an evil heart that refuses to trust in God, and turns away from the living God. . . (ref Hebrews 3:12) , , OUR SOUL IS CONVERTED FOR WORSHIP BY THE GRACE OF GOD The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul. (ref Psalm 19:7) The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He converts my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (ref Psalm 23:l-3) If they are converted and turn to You with all their heart and soul. . . and pray to You . . . . Hear their prayer. . .uphold their cause, and forgive them. . . (ref I Kings 8:48-49) If they are converted to You in their heart and soul. . .and pray to You. . .Then hear their prayer...and forgive the sin of Your people. . . (ref II Chronicles 6:38) Strip off all moral filth and extravagant evil, and receive with meekness the implanted Word that has power to save your souls. . . (ref James 1:21) Having purified your souls by obeying the Truth through the Spirit unto sincere love for the brethren, love fervently out of a pure heart. (ref I Peter 1:23) You were like sheep going astray, but now you are converted to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls. (ref I Peter 21:25) Those who suffer in accord with the will of God should entrust their souls, to a trustworthy Creator and continue doing good. (ref I Peter 4:19) Paul and Barnabas stabilized the souls of the disciples, and encouraged them to remain true to the faith while going through tribulation... (ref Acts 14:22) My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior.
